Tencel Lyocell - Superior to Bamboo?

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are derived from Eucalyptus wood that is harvested from natural forests and sustainably managed tree farms.

Eucalyptus trees are fast-growing and require no toxic pesticides and very little water to thrive.

The fabric is smooth, soft and silky, and vibrant. It retains dye better than bamboo fibres and is less prone to fading over time.

It is hypoallergenic and retards bacteria growth 10 times better than cotton,

is extremely durable and resistant to pilling with proper care,

is wrinkle-resistant, while bamboo is prone to wrinkling.

Tencel requires less energy and less water to produce than bamboo, and also produces less waste due to the closed-loop process of manufacturing.
